Heart of Darkness- Faiza
I see the days go by,
I see the nights go by,
The wind is so listless,
The rain feels so dry,
There is no life in my breath
N my heart feels like stone,
Is this what it always felt like,
Before u left me alone,
They who pretend to love me
I see thru their false masks
How m I supposed to smile
When I feel like molten glass
I thot I saw d light of love
When I looked in your eyes
But that was just lust rising
Like hot water on ice
Now I feel I’m just an intruder
In your so peaceful life
I must turn around now
Before I end up giving u my life
There is darkness when I turn
But it’s darker where I am headed
Do I get to think on this
Or should I say I’m just hot headed
I want to feel the days go by
I want to sleep my nights in peace
I want to feel the rain yet again
I want to be my own self again
And not just someone everyone sees
